FESTIVAL D’AVIGNON | 2025

Since its creation, Making Waves has endeavored to make audible the voices and words of a youth bursting with questions, doubts, aspirations and hopes. A heterogeneous and complex youth, in touch with the world’s disorders, full of expectations and contradictions. A daring and precarious youth, indocile and vulnerable.

What better place than a major theater festival to put down our microphones and allow young adults to question the world? By giving 10 young people from Annecy, Avignon, Bobigny, Casablanca, Noisy-le-Sec, and Rabat, from very diverse backgrounds, the opportunity to engage in dialogue with directors and actors, elected officials and activists, academics and community leaders, we aim to enable them to express their views and feelings about where the world is headed on the air.

By creating a radio station that aims to be a space for unique conversations and interactions, unexpected exchanges and discussions, a radio station where people who seem worlds apart can meet and talk, Making Waves hopes to open up new spaces and create new relationships. To bring out new forms of solidarity and sharing, and to highlight, against all that apparently separates and divides us, what binds us, touches us and animates us collectively.
