ROUGH RADIO
A RADIO CHANNEL HOSTED BY HOMELESS PEOPLE, CREATED BY THE NONPROFIT LA CLOCHE

PARIS, NANTES, BORDEAUX, MARSEILLE / 2019-…

In Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Marseille, in partnership with the nonprofit la Cloche, four Radioboxes have been made available to homeless people and exiles to create Rough Radio, so that they may create their own podcasts and programs.

Once or twice a month, each city records and broadcasts one-hour talk shows, interviews, reports and debates. These programs are hosted by men and women who are seldom heard on mainstream media. This is an opportunity to talk about politics and culture, to share opinions and passions, to bear witness to their daily lives whether they live on the street or in shelters. Rough Radio also provides advice and contact information of other institutions to help homeless and undocumented people deal with any issue in their daily lives.
